Ryan Dynamics (ABN 18 531 301 208) is a sole-trader business based in Newcastle, New South Wales.

This policy explains how Ryan Dynamics collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you use this website or contact the business.

Information collected

Ryan Dynamics may collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • the project type and project stage you select;
  • the information you include in an enquiry, including project descriptions, requirements, measurements, part numbers, deadlines and attachments you later provide;
  • correspondence and records created while discussing, quoting or carrying out work;
  • business and billing information needed to prepare quotations, invoices or business records; and
  • technical information generated when you use the website, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, access time and anti-spam assessment data.

Please do not include sensitive personal information, passwords, access credentials, export-controlled information, or confidential information that is not reasonably necessary for an initial enquiry.

How information is collected

Information is collected when you:

  • submit an enquiry form;
  • communicate with Ryan Dynamics by email, telephone or another agreed method;
  • request a quotation or engage Ryan Dynamics; or
  • use the website and its supporting hosting, security and anti-spam services.

The website temporarily saves unfinished enquiry-form fields in your browser’s session storage. This helps preserve a draft while the browser tab remains open. The draft remains on your device and is not submitted to Ryan Dynamics until you send the form. It is normally cleared when the browser session ends, subject to your browser’s behaviour and settings.

Why information is used

Ryan Dynamics may use personal information to:

  • assess and respond to enquiries;
  • clarify requirements and decide whether proposed work is suitable;
  • prepare quotations, proposals, invoices and project records;
  • provide, manage and improve agreed services;
  • communicate about current or previous work;
  • maintain financial, tax, insurance and other business records;
  • protect the website and enquiry forms from spam, abuse and security threats;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and
  • comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.

Ryan Dynamics does not sell personal information and does not currently use enquiry details for an unrelated marketing mailing list.

Service providers and disclosure

Ryan Dynamics may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • website hosting, form-processing, email, file-storage, accounting, security and other service providers;
  • professional advisers, insurers or government authorities;
  • subcontractors or suppliers involved in your project, where appropriate and subject to any agreed confidentiality arrangements;
  • a person or organisation you authorise; or
  • another party when required or permitted by law.

The website currently uses:

  • GitHub Pages to host and deliver the website;
  • Formspree to receive and process enquiry-form submissions;
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 to assess enquiry submissions for spam and abuse; and
  • Google Fonts to provide website fonts.

Ryan Dynamics will not disclose the substance of a prospective or current client’s project to a subcontractor, supplier or public portfolio merely because an enquiry has been submitted. Any disclosure for project delivery or publication will be considered separately and, where appropriate, agreed with the client.

Overseas processing

Some service providers used by Ryan Dynamics operate or store information outside Australia. In particular, enquiry submissions processed by Formspree may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where its providers operate. Google and GitHub may also process technical information outside Australia.

Privacy protections in another country may differ from those in Australia.

Cookies and similar technologies

Ryan Dynamics does not currently use advertising pixels or conventional audience analytics on this website.

The website does use limited storage and third-party technology needed for form operation and security:

  • Google reCAPTCHA may set the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie and process technical information for risk analysis;
  • the enquiry form uses browser session storage to preserve an unfinished draft; and
  • the hosting provider may create standard server and security logs.

You can control cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking reCAPTCHA or necessary storage may prevent the enquiry form from working correctly. If the form is unavailable, please check your connection and try again later.

Security

Ryan Dynamics takes reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect information against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These steps may include access controls, encrypted connections, software updates and limiting access to people who need the information for a legitimate purpose.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you believe information sent to Ryan Dynamics has been compromised, email contact@ryandynamics.com promptly.

Retention

Ryan Dynamics keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business and project records, or to meet legal, tax, insurance and dispute-resolution requirements.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, destroyed or de-identified where practical, subject to backup cycles and records that must or should be retained.

Access, correction and deletion requests

You may ask Ryan Dynamics to:

  • explain what personal information is held about you;
  • provide access to that information;
  • correct inaccurate or outdated information; or
  • delete information that is no longer reasonably required.

Some requests may be refused or limited where retention or non-disclosure is required or permitted by law, where the information concerns another person, or where the request would unreasonably interfere with legitimate business or legal interests.

To make a privacy request, email contact@ryandynamics.com and use Privacy request as the subject. Ryan Dynamics may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Privacy concerns and complaints

For privacy questions or concerns, email contact@ryandynamics.com. To make a complaint, use Privacy complaint as the subject and describe the issue and the outcome you are seeking. Ryan Dynamics will review the concern and respond within a reasonable period.

If the Privacy Act 1988 applies to the matter and you are not satisfied with the response, you may be entitled to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website, business practices, service providers or applicable requirements change. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
